About Natalya — Your Hair Expert in Salmiya, Kuwait

Expert Hair Styling Journey in Block 1, Salmiya

Once upon a time I was 15 years old and I went to a hairdresser for the first time on my own for a haircut. A big fatty “hairdresser” with greasy hair was there, she cut my bang very short, I called this bang “paranoid” and started crying. I didn’t get this awful cut only but also I received completely negative behaviors from this “super hairdresser” - "Why are you crying here?" She said, "- and you will teach me what is good and what is bad? Get out!"

I went out of that salon that day with one thought: “Yes, someday I will also cut hair, and yes, I will teach!”

For that, I knew exactly what I was going to study. My mother supported me because since childhood I already had several regular customers - my mother and my dolls. I also liked psychology, but unfortunately at that time, it was too expensive, more than my family could afford.

At my first job, I had many clients. I watched enthusiastically our top experts-masters, caught every technique they did, and immediately implemented it into my work. I practiced and practiced… nonstop, and the clients liked it.

Aha! I got my first step in the way I wanted, and then, out of nowhere the Internet appeared! I saw how clear, correct, unusual haircuts and a variety of hair colors could be, and I was inspired by it all. So, I went to Moscow to improve my skills, and of course, I chose the most prestigious school with medals - “Dolores”.

After graduation, I had that feeling of “I can do anything!” Without getting enough of this level, my love and passion for what I do made me aim for the next higher level by going to London to the famous “Vidal Sassoon Academy” to study the impeccable English techniques of haircuts and coloring.

All of that didn’t prevent me from falling in love and giving birth to a child. With the help of a nanny with my daughter, I was able to open my first small salon in Cyprus and continued to develop. But, with big responsibilities comes the biggest challenges. I learned how to be independent on my own when I asked for a divorce from my treacherous unloyal husband and paid all the expenses by myself, being a strong proud single mother.

I had just passed this challenge and laid down my legs on the sofa to catch my breath when I had the second hard lesson (the economic crisis in Cyprus). Everyone was in panic and hysteria, how to live from now on? There is no money in banks, people stopped going to salons, blurry unknown future. I was looking into the eyes of my daughter every night and trying to hold the small pieces of myself, but inside me, the core inner of my soul, I was unable to be defeated. I was always believing in myself and never lost hope. I began to look for a country where I could earn money and take care of my daughter and my family (mother and brother).

And after a while, in 2013, I received a job offer from the state of Kuwait. Yes, I am unbreakable! I’m ready for the next challenge and destination.

My first experience in Kuwait (as a stranger, foreigner, and a mother missing family) was not easy - 2 years in one famous salon (I won’t say the name, whoever understands will understand), where everything was different and new for me, everything was “forbidden!” I didn’t get it and I felt like myself in “prison”. I didn’t adopt this situation and decided to discover my destiny in my own way. But not all salons are like that, as I later realized.

By working in different salons (among them the famous Tony and Guy) and working with different brands, I took my decision to work and study in parallel, taking dozens of courses, master classes, and seminars. I received diplomas of a teacher in color and haircuts, courses in psychology, personal branding, memory training courses, and communication courses.

Life always keeps the best for the last, now I am working in a wonderful salon Youky Color Bit, where all are family and professionals and the rules at that salon are positivity, friendly, and caring.

This is my story, I believe in myself and a moral of wonderful hard years of struggling, developing, and learning - I would like to share all with you, my faith, my hope, and my long years of experience and knowledge. My clients come to me not only to get professional geometric haircuts and positive color emotions but also for psychological support, for a safe place, where they can feel warm, they know that they can get practical advice, a boost of energy, an analysis of the life situation from the point of view of a psychologist. Once you are on my haircut chair, while my hands giving you the hair you dreamed of, you will know, you will see and feel new and renewed, ready to move mountains, while in the meantime, you will find harmony and self-love, confidence, and strength!
